Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University women's cross-country team made their program debut in week two of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Women's Cross Country Top 25 Coaches' Poll, the USTFCCCA announced Wednesday, September 23. The Panthers slip into the National poll at #25, while Adams State and Grand Valley State remain #1 and #2 in the country.

Adelphi placed fifth out of 42 competing institutions at the Umass-Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, September 19, finishing just 10 points behind conference rival and 22nd ranked Stonehill College. The Panthers placed three woman in the top-20 and four in the top-50 at the meet, including three under 19 minutes.

Adelphi returns to action on Friday, October 2 when they travel to Lehigh, Pennsylvania to compete in the Paul Short Run on the campus of Lehigh University.
