Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi women's cross-country have been honored as a Division II All-Academic team for the 2006 season as announced by the United States Track and Field and Cross-Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on February 1. The Panthers join 91 other Division II programs who received this honor, including All-Academic Team of the Year Adams State.

Adelphi posted a team grade point average of 3.135 on the heels of one of its most successful seasons in recent memory. The Panthers captured the East Coast Conference (ECC) title for the first time since 2002 and placed fifth at the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional. In addition, six members of the team earned All-ECC honors and Adelphi placed in the top-five at four of their eight meets.
