Bronx, N.Y. - The Adelphi University men and women's cross-country team traveled to the Bronx, New York on Saturday, November 18 to close out the season. Senior Jaime Julia-Perez (Amsterdam, N.Y.) brought his senior season to an end in impressive fashion, claiming the IC4A University individual championship. Julia-Perez led the men to a 12th place finish, while the women placed 17th overall in the ECAC University division race. Julia-Perez broke out distanced second place finisher Ricardo Estremera of Albany by nine seconds, covering the 8K course in a personal best time of 25:49.8 to claim the individual crown. Matt Dispensa (College Point, N.Y.) followed Julia-Perez across the line, placing 40th overall in 27:21.2. Michael Dorman (Albertson, N.Y.) was the third Panther harrier across the line, placing 78th in 28:08.7, followed by Sean Harte (Queens Village, N.Y.) and Carlos Techera (Bayside, N.Y.) in 96th (28:31.1) and 97th (28:31.7). Danielle Connor (Lake Grove, N.Y.) paced the women, placing 51st overall in a time of 20:05.2. Heather Troutman (Whiteford, MD) completed a solid freshman season, crossing the line in 104th place (21:16.6), while teammate Meghan Farrell (Holtsville, N.Y.) turned in a personal best time of 21:20.1 to claim 107th. Lindsay LaFluer (Holbrook, N.Y.) stopped the clock at 21:33.2, placing 115th, followed by Melissa Coelho (Wantagh, N.Y.) in 21:35.2 (119th). |
