Boston, Mass. - The Adelphi men's and women's cross country teams closed out the season at Franklin Park in Boston, Massachusetts on Sunday, November 7th at the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional. The men took home a 14th place team finish and the women claimed 15th place overall.

On the men's side junior Will Marshall (Laurelton, N.Y.) led the charge. Marshall covered the 10 kilometer (6.2 miles) course in 35:32 to place 47th overall. Fellow junior Mike Marzano (Whitestone, N.Y.) ran through injury to place 76th in a time of 36:51. A trio of freshman rounded out the top-five for Adelphi led by Aaron Warner (Queens Village, N.Y.). Warner clocked in at 37:19 to place 80th, followed by Matt Dispensa (College Point, N.Y.), who crossed the line in 37:47 to place 86th. Mike Dorman (Albertson, N.Y.) was the fifth Adelphi finisher across the line. Dorman stopped the clock at 38:58 to place 101st overall.

UMASS-Lowell captured the men's title with a score of 37 points, just edging out Stonehill by two points. UMASS-Lowell's Patrick Morasse captured the men's individual title in a time of 31:08.

The women were led by senior Katie DiPietro (New Hyde Park, N.Y.), who finished her collegiate cross country career with a 25th place showing. DiPietro covered the eight kilometer (4 miles) course in 24:49. Fellow senior Diane Buonpane (Holbrook, N.Y.) was Adelphi's second finisher, placing 77th overall in a time of 26:58. Freshman Melissa Coelho (Wantagh, N.Y.) placed 90th overall with a clocking of 27:40. Coelho was followed closely by Nadine Rossi (New Hyde Park, N.Y.) who claimed 94th overall with a time of 27:49. Meghan Farrell (Holtsville, N.Y.) rounded out the top-five with a 97th place finish (28:16).

Stonehill convincingly captured the women's title with a total of 34 points, outdistancing UMASS-Lowell by 50 points. Stonehill's Dianna Chivakos took home the individual title with a clocking of 22:14.
