Garden City, N.Y. - On December 13, 2009, the Adelphi University Cross Country and Track and Field Program will host a 5k Run on Adelphi University's Garden City campus. The race will tour some of the campuses best features, and will help raise funds for the track team's trip to the Disney Relays next march in Orlando, Florida as well as collecting toys to donate to the United States Marines Toys for Tots program.

The race will finish on the Adelphi University logo in the middle of Competition Field, where runners can enjoy post race refreshments and a great raffle.

The Adelphi University Toys for Tots® 5k by the numbers:

When - Sunday, December 13th, registration beginning at 8:00 am, race at 9:30am
Where - Adelphi University -1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY, 11530
Cost - $20 registration fee before 12/10 - $25 after

The first 50 people to donate a toy will receive an Adelphi track and field t-shirt.
