Princeton, NJ - The Adelphi University track and field team traveled to Princeton, New Jersey on April 4 and 5 to compete in the Sam Howell Invitational hosted by Princeton University. The Panthers posted four combined top-10 finishes and set three school records.

The men were led by Aaron Warner's eighth place finish in the 800 meter run. Warner stopped the clock in a personal best time of 1:55.78. Warner also teamed with Bailey Ince, Sean Murphy and Mark Pollard to pick up a 10th place finish in the 4x400 meter relay, as the team posted a time of 3:31.89.

Ify Anene and Danielle Lyons led the women's team as both athletes set new school records. Anene shattered the pervious school record in the 5000 meter run by 26 seconds, running 18:12.96, good enough for 17th overall. Lyons placed sixth overall in a field of 48 athletes in the 800 meter run. Her time of 2:15.58 is just half a second off of an NCAA qualifying mark and improves the school record by nearly six seconds.

Lyons combined with Elise Maniguet, Heather Troutman and Claudine Petit to pick up 13th in the 4x400 meter relay. The squad dropped the school record by nearly three seconds to 4:16.84.

Adelphi returns to action on Saturday, April 12 when they travel to Kings Point, New York to compete in the Coach "O" Invitational on the campus of the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
