Dallas, Pa. - Sophomore Katie DiPietro captured first place finishes in both the 800 meters and the 1500 meters at the Misericordia Invitational, in Dallas Pa., on Saturday. The Panthers, along with host Misericorida College, competed against several Pennslyvania area schools.

DiPietro's times of 2:26.73 in the 800 and 4:58.10 in the 1500, eclipsed her next closest competitor by ten seconds, and currently stand as meet records at the newly completed track's first meet of the season. Freshman Katie McGrath turned in a solid performance, finishing second in the 5000 meters in 21:14.59.

For the men, junior Dave Harvey took second in the 5000 meters in 16:35.61. Sophomore Ryan Soltan placed second in the 3000 meter steeplechase in a time of 10:22.87, followed by freshman John Loehr in fourth (11:13.42). Junior Joseph Cahill and freshman Mike Marzano also placed third in their respective events. Cahill in the 1500 meters in at time of 4:18.07 and Marzano in the 800 meters in 2:02.80.

Adelphi returns to action on April 19 at the CTC Championships in Rowan, N.J.
