Annapolis, Maryland - The Adelphi men's track and field team traveled to Annapolis, Maryland to compete at the United States Naval Academy on Saturday, April 1. The Panthers placed fifth out of six teams competing with a total of 20 points. Navy compiled a total of 216 points to place first.

Mark Pollard (Deer Park, N.Y.) and John Albrecht (North Bellmore, N.Y.) combined to score 16 of Adelphi's 20 points. Pollard scored half of Adelphi's points with a first place finish in the 100 meter dash, with a time of 10.7 seconds.

Albrecht picked up four points for a fourth place finish in the discus with a toss of 134 feet, three inches. He also collected two points for a fifth place showing in the shot put with a heave of 45 feet, nine inches. The Panthers 4x400 meter relay team collected the remaining four points with a fourth place finish (3:22.55).

Adelphi returns to action on Saturday, April 15, when they travel to Kings Point, New York to take part in the Coach "O" Invitational.
