Orlando, Florida - The Adelphi track and field team traveled to Orlando, Florida to compete in the Disney Relays on March 10th and 11th. The women captured five top-five finishes to score 38 points and finish sixth overall, while the men took home 13 top-five finishes, including four first place showings to claim third overall with 116 points.

Lindsay LaFluer (Holbrook, N.Y.) and Morgan Russell (Baldwin, N.Y.) were the only individuals to post top-five finishes. LaFluer took home third in the 3000-meter steeplechase (14:26.27), while Russell placed third in the 100-meter hurdles (16.71).

The women also took home fourth in the 4x200 meter relay (1:56.72) and placed fifth in the 4x800 meter relay in a time of 11:08.97.

The men were led by John Albrecht (North Bellmore, N.Y.) and Jaime Julia-Perez (Amsterdam, N.Y.) who both posted first place finishes. Albrecht took home first in the shot put with a toss of 45 feet and four inches, while Julia-Perez placed first in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 9:50.31.

The men also placed first in the 4x100 meter relay (44.37) and the 1600-meter sprint relay (3:40.39). Individually Albrecht carried the load for Adelphi, collecting two third place finishes in the javelin (147 feet, five inches) and the hammer throw (112 feet, 10 inches) to account for 22 of Adelphi's points.

The Panthers return to action on March 25 when they travel to West Long Branch, New Jersey to compete in the Monmouth Season Opener.
