Track and Field Place Second and Third at ECC Indoor Championships

 
 

 
Ify Anene won the ECC 3000-meter title with a time of 10:55.79.

New Haven, CT - The Adelphi University track and field team competed in the East Coast Conference Indoor Championships held February 10-11 in New Haven, Connecticut. The men placed third with 107 points, while the women picked up a second place finish with 116 points.

Mark Pollard and Daryl Lewis led the way for Adelphi, winning the 55-meter dash (6.71) and the shot put (45-6.25). While Jaime Julia-Perez, Juan Disla, Jon Hilbert and Mike Dorman combined to place, first in the distance medley relay (11:24.57).

Elise Maniguet was one of two double winners on the women's side, collecting title in the 800-meter run (2:25.66) and the mile (5:20.66). Ify Anene also picked up first place points, winning the 3000-meter run in 10:55.79.

Lindsay Lafleur, Megan Murphy, Meghan Farrell and Carissa Demelfi teamed-up to help Adelphi capture the distance medley crown (13:33.79).
