New York, N.Y. - The men and women's track teams competed at the CTC Indoor Championships last Saturday at the 168th St. Armory. Freshman Stephanie Henderson led the Panthers with a first-place finish in the women's 1,000 meters in a time of 3:05.96.

Overall, the women turned in a solid performance. Sophomore Katie DiPietro finished third in the mile run in 5;14.12, while senior Diane Buonpane took sixth in the 1,000 meters, finishing in 3:18.86. The team of DiPietro, Henderson, freshmen Katie McGrath and Buonpane finished fourth in the 4x800 relay in a time of 10:29.59. Senior Heather Ratana joined DiPietro, Henderson and Buonpone for a second place performance in the DMR in 12:49.76.

For the men, Mike Marzano was the lone Panther to score points in an individual event, placing sixth in the 800 meters in 2:00.72. The men's 4x800 relay finished fourth (8:16.51) and the DMR was sixth (11:01.74).
