East Stroudsburg, PA - The Adelphi track and field team traveled to East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania on Sunday, February 5 to compete in the DeSchriver Invitational. As a team the Panthers combined to post five top-five finishes, including one event win.

Morgan Russell (Baldwin, N.Y.) was the only member of the women's team to place in the top-five individually, finishing fifth in the 55 meter hurdles with a clocking of 9.33 seconds. Lindsay LaFluer (Holbrook, N.Y.), Theresa Ennis (Garden City, N.Y.), Meghan Farrell (Holtsville, N.Y.) and Margaret Penner (Malverne, N.Y.) teamed up to place fourth in the 4x800 meter relay in a time of 10:53.55.

Sean Harte (Queens Village, N.Y.), Mike Marzano (Whitestone, N.Y.) Jaime Julia-Perez (Amsterdam, N.Y.) and Aaron Warner (Queens Village, N.Y.) combined to collect the team's only first place finish in the 4x800 meters with a time of 8:07.83.

Individually both Marzano and Julia-Perez posted fifth place finishes. Marzano crossed the line in 2:36.85 in the 1000-meter run, while Julia-Perez stopped the clock at 9:02.9 in the 3000-meter run.

Adelphi returns to the track this Saturday, February 11 when they compete in the CTC Championships.
