Kutztown, PA - The Adelphi track team traveled to Kutztown, Pennsylvania Friday to compete in the Kutztown University Invitational. The Panthers ran strong despite the fact that the invitational was a non-scoring meet. Marius Donadelle (Hollis, N.Y.) ran strong in the 55 meter dash, qualifying for the finals with a time of 6.48. Donadelle finished sixth in the finals with a time of 6.88 seconds. Donadelle was also Adelphi's fastest finisher in the 300 meter dash (40.34), Scott Dimig Islip, N.Y.) finished right behind Donadelle with a time of 40.64). Mike Marzano (Whitestone, N.Y.) finished fourth in the 500 meter run (1:11.30) and Ryan Soltan (Sayville, N.Y.) took sixth in the 3000 meter run (9:38.93). Diane Buonpane (Holbrook, N.Y.) ran strong for the women, finishing sixth in the 800 with a time of (2:42.65). The meet was capped off by the men's 4x800 meter relay team. The Panthers finished second in a time of 8:38.19. The Panthers return to action Friday, January 30th when Adelphi travels to the 168th street Armory to compete in a MAC meet. |
