Ryan Soltan is entering his third season as an assistant coach with the Adelphi University cross-country/track and field program.

A former East Coast Conference (ECC) cross-country individual champion (2001) Soltan was also a three-time all-conference performer and the 2005 Collegiate Track Conference (CTC) champion in the 3000-meter steeplechase. Soltan graduated from Adelphi in 2005 with a degree in physical education and will receive his masters in sports management from Adelphi in December of 2006.

Soltan was a volunteer assistant coach at Sayville High School during the 2004-05 indoor and outdoor track seasons and also has experience as a camp counselor for USA Track and Field. His responsibilities will include working with the men's cross-country team as well as the mid-distance and distance runners during track.

Soltan currently makes his home in Sayville, New York.
