Dear Alumni,

The Adelphi Women's swim team held a record of 4 wins, 5 losses in the 2007-08 season. Throughout our year, in dual meets junior, Caylee Squillante held first place finishes in five dual meets in sprint in the 50 and 100 yards. Senior, Amanda Knapp and sophomore, Jackie Birkel assisted in leading the women's team to four wins during their breast stroke events throughout the season. The women swam their personal best times this year at our Metropolitan Championships, finishing 10th place at the METS Championship Meet in Rutgers, N.J.

Adelphi Men's swim team held a record of 8 wins and 2 losses in the 2007-08 season, while placing sixth at the METS Championship Meet. The men set seven individual school records and two relay records this season. Zach Terzano who has been undefeated in the 200 free individual event throughout the season, set three individual records in the 200 Free (1:41.78), 500 Free (4:40.02), 100 Back (53,88) and one relay (800 Free Relay) while qualifying in two individual events with a NCAA "B" cut his Freshman year (200 Free and 500 Free). Senior, Brendan Berry set two individual records in distance freestyle events (1000 Free, 10:18.17 and 1650 Free, 17:23.93) as well as in two relays (800 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay). Alex Griffith broke two individual events in the 200 IM (2:00.64) and 400 IM (4:17.44) as well as two relays (800 Free Relay and 400 Free Relay).

The four relays that set school records are the 400 Free Relay with a time of 3:19.04 (Alex Griffith, Brendan Berry, Timmy Mueller, Tory Cozzi) and the 800 Free Relay with a time of 7:07.49 (Zach Terzano, Brendan Berry, Tory Cozzi, Alex Griffith).

We are graduating two female seniors, Amanda Knapp and Christina Megherian as well as four male seniors, Brendan Berry, Charlie Castillo, Andrew Meditz and Timmy Mueller this season. Our captains, Brendan Berry and Andrew Meditz have been great leaders for our team the past four seasons. We wish all the seniors the best of luck!
