Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi men's and women's swim teams played host to William Paterson University on Saturday, December 10. The Panthers split with William Paterson as the men picked up a 66-29 win to improve to 3-1 overall, while the women fell to 2-2 on the season with a 58-37 loss.

The men's team took first place in every individual event except the 500 freestyle to rack up 69 points. Matthew Jordan (Valley Stream, N.Y.), Charles Castillo (Wantagh, N.Y.) and Benjamin Dellagiovanna (Forest Hills, N.Y.) were all multiple winners for Adelphi. Jordon collected victories in the 50 yard freestyle (22.55) and the 100 yard freestyle (50.52), while Castillo picked up wins in the 200 yard individual medley (2:11.32) and the 100 yard breaststroke (1:05.03). Dellagiovanna found success in the 100 yard backstroke (56.69) and the 200 yard freestyle (1:53.78).

The women took home four first place finishes, led by Jerri Lester (El Paso, Texas) who picked up first in the 200 yard individual medley (2:20.52) and the 500 yard freestyle (5:43.13). Kathy Dodd (Albany, Georgia) took home first in the 100 yard freestyle (58.23) while Amanda Knapp (Utica, N.Y.) placed first in the 100 yard breaststroke (1:15.45).

The Panthers return to action on Thursday, January 12 when they travel to Kings Point, New York to compete against the United States Merchant Marine Academy at 6:00 pm.
