Pleasantville, N.Y. - The Adelphi swim team traveled to Pleasantville, New York on November 10 to take on Pace University in dual meet action. The Panthers continued their winning ways as both the men and women picked up victories to improve to 3-0. On the men's side the freshman trio of Zachery Terzano, Tom Eickelberg and Alex Griffith each contributed three first place finishes, helping the Panthers cruise to a 111-42 win. As a team the Panthers took home first in every event and have done so in all three meets this season. Double event winners included seniors Brendan Berry and Andrew Meditz, sophomore Brad Meaney and freshman Stephen Clay. Adelpih captured five second place finishes to go along with 11 first place efforts. The women also performed well, winning the 200 yard freestyle relay as well as four individual events. Jennifer Scarnati and Christina Megherian took first and second respectively in the 500 yard freestyle. Amanda Knapp took first in the 100 yard breaststroke, while Kristina Shine placed first in the 100 yard back stroke. The women edged the Setters by a margin of just nine points, 91-82. Adelphi returns to action on Saturday, November 17 when they take on Rowan. |
