Waltham, MA - The Adelphi University swim team traveled to Waltham, Massachusetts to take part in the Bentley Invitational. The men picked up six top-five finishes and eight total top-10 showings to place sixth overall with 48 points, while the women had three top-fives and eight top-10 showings to finish eighth overall with 28 points. The men were led by Zach Terzano and Corey McKee who each had two individual top-five finishes. Terzano placed second overall in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 48.72 and followed that up with a third place finish in the 200 yard individual medley (2:01.42). McKee posted a second place finish in the 200 yard freestyle (1:50.68) and a third place finish in the 200 yard butterfly (1:59.87), while teammate Tory Cozzi finished fifth in the 200 yard freestyle (1:52.38). Terzano, McKee and Cozzi also teamed up with Brad Meaney to pick up second in the 400 yard freestyle relay in a time of 3:25.01. Charlotte Davies posted several impressive performances, placing fourth in both the 1000 yard freestyle (11:23.28) and the 500 yard freestyle (5:35.81). She also joined Nicole Mulligan, Brittany Ferencik and Laura Pashayan to place fourth in the 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 4:01.34. The Panthers will return to action on November 6 when they travel to South Orange, New Jersey to take on Montclair State and Seton Hall. |
