Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University Men's and Women's swim teams swept visiting Stevens Tech on Wednesday January 26. The men out swam Stevens Tech by the count of 56-38, while the women collected a 56-39 victory.

Matt Jordan (Valley Stream, N.Y.) and Charlie Castillo (Uniondale, N.Y.) both collected first place in two individual events to help Adelphi to the win. Jordan picked up wins in the 50 yard freestyle (22.31) and the 100 yard backstroke (58.24), while Castillo won the 200 yard individual medley (2:04.36) and the 100 yard breaststroke (1:01.01).

For the second straight meet Victoria Gardner (Middle Village, N.Y.) won two individual events. Gardener took home first in the 50 yard freestyle (27.38) and the 100 yard freestyle (1:01.2). Kathy Dodd (Albany, GA) also claimed first in 200 yard freestyle (2:07.02) and the 100 yard backstroke (1:09.06).

Adelphi returns to action on February 18th when they travel to Rutgers University to compete in the MET Championships.
