Kings Point, NY - Adelphi Men's Swimming traveled North to Kings Point, New York to face the United States Merchant Marine Academy in a duel meet competition. The nationally ranked men saw their first loss of the season against a very well rounded USMMA team, losing the meet 133-78.

Despite the loss, the men posted excellent finishes and times in many of the individual races. Picking up the Panthers' first nine points was senior co-captain Brendan Berry, placing first in the 1000-yard Freestyle. One event later, Zachary Terzano swam 1:46.03 to place first in the 200 yard free. Freshmen Tory Cozzi and Stephen Clay rounded out the field, picking up valuable points. Terzano would reach the wall first again five events later when he posted a 49.82 in the 100 free. Senior co-captain Andrew Meditz also was a Panther first place finisher, swimming 2:17.81 in the 200-yard breast.

The Panthers will next travel up to Albany, New York, where they will face St. Rose College, January 26.
