McAleer Names James Kerr Golf Assistant

 
 

 
Kerr will help in ever aspect of the program.

Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University Head Golf Coach, Tim McAleer announced the addition of James Kerr to the coaching staff on Wednesday, August 27. Kerr will help in every aspect of the Panther's golf program.

"My relationship goes back some 30 years with Coach Kerr and I believe his expertise and passion for golf will be a great addition to our program." McAleer said.

Kerr comes to Adelphi from Holy Cross High School, where he was the boy's varsity basketball coach from 1980-2004 as well as a teacher. He is still the director of the Holy Cross High School Basketball Camp as well as a golf instructor at the Floral Park Recreation Center.

A graduate of St. Francis College and Chaminade High School, Kerr is also a member of the McDonald's All-American High School Basketball selection committee. He has worked such camps as the Eastern Invitational Basketball Clinic and the O'Meara/Kerr Basketball Camp and is a member of the CHSAA and the Holy Cross High School Coaches Hall of Fame and the St. Francis College and University of New England Athletic Hall of Fames.
