Golf Sits Sixth After Two Rounds of the Dowling September Shootout

Riverhead, N.Y. - The Adelphi University golf team traveled to Riverhead, New York on Sunday and Monday, September 27 and 28 to complete the first two rounds of the Dowling September Shootout. The Panthers placed all five golfers among the top-50, and are currently sitting in sixth place overall with a total score of 620.

Wilmington (DE) leads the team scoring at 598, followed by Post University (608) and AIC (610). LeMoyne and Nyack round out the top-five with scores of 611 and 619.

Jonathan Singer is leading the way for Adelphi after two rounds with a nine over par score of 151, which has him in a tie for sixth. He is followed by Matt Demeo in eighth, a shot back with a score of 152.

Stuart Pulkinen is tied for 38th at 158, while Jason Doppelt is in a tie for 42 with a two round score of 159. Joshua Hamlett rounds out Adelphi's top-five with a total of 162 for the day, sitting in a tie for 50th.

Adelphi returns to action on Tuesday, September 29 when they conclude play at the Dowling September Shootout.
