Riverhead, New York - The Adelphi University golf team traveled to Riverhead, New York this weekend to participate in the ECAC Division II Golf Championship. The Panthers were one of twenty Northeast Region teams which included Dominican College, St. Thomas Aquinas and Le Moyne College. Adelphi placed second with a score of 610 while Dominican College edged them out by one stroke shooting 609 to claim first place.

Adelphi was lead by senior Oliver Hudesman who shot 74 on the first day and followed up with 77 on the second day for a combined score of 151 (+9) which was good enough for a seventh place finish. Sophomore Matt Demeo followed closely behind shooting 152 (+10) over the two-day tournament to place him in a six way tie for eighth place.

Adelphi's next competition will be on October 4, 2008 when they participate in the Post College Eagle Shootout in Bloomfield, CT.
