Bloomfield, CT - The Adelphi University golf team wrapped up play at the Northeast Intercollegiate Championship on Monday, September 21 in Bloomfield, Connecticut at Wintonbury Hills. The Panthers placed two golfers among the top-11 and four in the top-30 to capture third place overall out of 17 competing teams.

American International College captured the overall team title with a score of 591, followed by Wilmington (DE) with 605 and Adelphi with a score of 610. LeMoyne and Post University round out the top-five with scores of 613 and 620.

Joshua Hamlett was the low man for the Panthers, ending the championship in a tie for sixth overall with a two-day total of 149, while Stuart Pulkinen's total of 152 was good enough to put him in a tie for 11th. Both Matt Demeo and Jonathan Singer placed in the 20's with Demeo securing 23rd with a score of 155 and Singer a shot behind at 156 for 26th overall. Jason Dopplet rounded out Adelphi's scorers with a 52nd place showing (164).

Adelphi returns to action on September 27 when they travel to Riverhead, New York to compete in the Dowling September Shootout.
