Bloomfield, CT - The Adelphi University golf team traveled to Bloomfield, Connecticut on Sunday, September 20 to take part in the Northeast Intercollegiate Championship at Wintonbury Hills. After day one action the Panthers have three golfers among the top-20 and sit second overall with a score of 302.

American International college leads the field with a score of 294 with Adelphi in second, three strokes ahead of Wilmington (DE). Dowling College and Bentley University round out the top-five with scores of 305 and 306.

Joshua Hamlett is the low man for Adelphi, sitting in a tie for sixth with a three over par score of 73. He is followed closely by Stuart Pulkinen and Jonathan Singer, who both shot identical rounds of five over par 75 and end the day in a tie for 10th. Matt Demeo and Jason Doppelt rounded out Adelphi's scoring five as they placed 38th (79) and 68th (85) overall.

Adelphi will return to action on Monday, September 21 when they close out play at the Northeast Intercollegiate Championship in Bloomfield, Connecticut.
