Charlton, Mass. - On the second and final day of the ECAC Division II Golf Championship the Panthers shot a 303 team score, 12 strokes better then the first day. Adelphi's two day total of 618 was good enough to put the Panthers in a tie for fourth with Southern New Hampshire. Sean Cahalare (Norfolk, Mass.) was very consistent over the two days shooting a 77 the first day and a 76 yesterday to finish in a tie for 12th overall. Steve Terrana (St. James, N.Y.) shot a 74 yesterday to move into 12th place with Cahalare, both golfers shot a 153 over the two days. Kevin Loftus (Rocky Point, N.Y.) finished with a two day total of 155, which put him into 16th place overall. John Seifert (Smithtown, N.Y.) and Adam Ochman (Valley Stream, N.Y.) round out Adelphi's top five. Seifert finished in 32nd place with a total of 160 (84-76), while Ochman placed 59th with a two day total of 169 (81-88). The two day event was held at the Heritage Country Club in Charlton, Mass., and hosted by Assumption College. Par for the course is 71. Adelphi returns to action on September 25th at the Moravian Invitational, which will be held in Bath, PA at the Southmoore Golf Club. |
