Adelphi in 6th Place After Day One at ECAC Championships

The Panthers are nine strokes out of third place after day one of the ECAC Championships.

Charlton, Mass. - After one day the Panthers are in 6th place at the ECAC Division II Championships being hosted by Assumption College. West Chester leads the way with a day one team total of 295, Adelphi is 20 strokes off the lead with a team score of 315, but that puts the Panthers only 9 strokes behind third place Bentley.

Junior Sean Cahalare (Norfolk, Mass.) leads the way for the Panthers with a first day total of 77. Fellow juniors Kevin Loftus (Rocky Point, N.Y.) and Steve Terrana (St. James, N.Y.) shot 78 and 79 respectively to help keep Adelphi near the top of the leader board. Freshman Adam Ochman (Valley Stream, N.Y.) and sophomore John Seifert (Smithtown, N.Y.) logged 81 and 84 to round out the scoring for the Panthers.

The second and final day of the ECAC Division II Championships take place today in Charlton, Mass. At the Heritage Golf Club.
