Blaine, WA - Adelphi University senior golfer Brant Kummerfeld continued play in Blaine, Washington on day two of the NCAA Division II National Championship tournament, May 20. Kummerfeld shot a three over par round of 74 on the Loomis Trail Golf Course for the second day in a row, putting him in a tie for 22nd place overall. Gene Webster of Cal State San Bernardino and Steve Cuzzort of Wayne State University are the overall leaders at one-under par 141, just seven shots ahead of Kummerfeld. In the team race Barry University leads Cal State San Bernardino by one stroke (583 to 584), while Sonoma State University sits six strokes back at 21 over par. Kummerfeld is currently the top placed golfer from the East region and is also the fifth highest placed individual qualifier in the tournament. Play will resume on Thursday, May 21 on the Loomis Trail Golf Course. |
