Blaine, WA - Adelphi University senior golfer Brant Kummerfeld traveled to Blaine, Washington to compete in the NCAA Division II National Championship tournament, May 19 - May 22. Kummerfeld shot a three over par round of 74 on the Loomis Trail Golf Course, putting him in a tie for 20th place overall. Gene Webster of Cal State San Bernardino is the overall leader at one-under par, 70, just four shots ahead of Kummerfeld. In the team race Barry University and Sonoma State are tied at nine over par, while Northeastern State University sits four strokes back at 13 over par. Kummerfeld's score of three over par is also the lowest round for a competitor from the East Region. He will return to action on Wednesday, May 20 when he tees it up in round two at the Loomis Trail Golf Course. |
