Syracuse, N.Y. - The Adelphi University men's golf team shot 323 on the final day to finish fifth overall at the NCAA Division II Northeast Men's Golf Regional Championship which was completed yesterday at Drumlins Golf Course. Kevin Loftus and John Seifert shot 82 and 71, respectively on the final day at the 6,213 yard, par-71 course to finish the tournament tied for thirteenth with Steve Benson of Le Moyne at 235. Dan Falcucci captured individual medallist honors to lead Bryant to the championship title. Bentley's Erik Swenson will join the Bryant team at the NCAA Championship May 20-23 at Crosswater Club at Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Ore. He finished in a tie for second overall and as the top individual not on a regional champion will head to the NCAA Division II Championship. The Bulldogs' team score of 296 on the final day gave them a 901 for the tournament. Their final round score marked the first team score under 300 at the Northeast Regional. St. Thomas Aquinas shot 307 on the final day and 920 overall for second place followed by Bentley (933), Southern New Hampshire (934), Adelphi (965), Le Moyne (970), Queens (972) and Pace (981).
