Coram, N.Y. - The Adelphi golf team traveled to Coram, New York to take part in the Long Island Intercollegiate Golf Championships on April 13 and 14. The Panthers posted a team score of 702 strokes to finish fourth overall. Dowling College won the event with a team score of 647, followed by Farmingdale State University (682) and Nassau Community College (685).

Jantzen Vargas (Danielson, CT) led the way for Adelphi, shooting 165 for the two-day tournament. Mauricio Saavedra (Cochabamba, Bolivia) also played well, shooting 170 over two-days, followed by Peter Alt (North Babylon, N.Y.) (180), Mike Matranga (North Haven, CT) (200) and Mike Hagony (200).
