Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University golf team hosted the Tom Pecora Collegiate Invitational on April 13 at the Cherry Valley Country Club. The Panthers shot a two round total of 621 to claim a four stroke win over Assumption College (625). Nassau Community College (656), Hofstra University (682) and St. Francis College (705) rounded out the top-five. Adelphi placed four golfers in the top-10, led by Brant Kummerfeld, who placed second overall with a seven over par score of 151 (77-74). Both Oliver Hudesman (80-75) and Stuart Pulkinen (77-78) placed fourth overall with identical scores of 155, while Matt Demeo took home 10th with a two round total of 160 (76-84). Jason Doppelt and Joshua Hamlett finished 15th and 16th respectively, shooting scores of 167 (83-84) and 169 (81-88). David Novick rounded out Adelphi's participants, placing 27th overall with a two round score of 187 (99-88). Adelphi returns to action on April 18 and 19 when they travel to Dracut, Massachusetts to participate in the Riverhawk Invitational Golf Tournament. |
