Riverhead, N.Y. - The Adelphi golf team traveled to Riverhead, New York on Sunday April 2 and Monday April 3 to compete in the Peter King Memorial Golf Tournament hosted by Dowling College. The Panthers shot a team total of 693, to place 11th overall. Goldey Beacom College won the team title with a two-day score of 618.

Jantzen Vargas (Danielson, CT), Mauricio Saavedra (Cochabamba, Bolivia) and Peter Alt (North Babylon, N.Y.) all finished within three strokes of each other. Saavedra led the way, shooting a 160, followed by Vargas (161) and Alt (163). Mike Hagony rounded out the scoring with a two-day total of 209.

The Panthers return to action on April 10 when they take part in the NYCAC golf Championships.
