Wilmington, DE - The Adelphi University golf team traveled to Wilmington, Delaware to complete play in the two-day Goldey-Beacom Invitational on Tuesday, March 31. The Panthers came from one stroke down to capture the team title by five strokes over Indiana University (PA), 607-612. Goldey-Beacom (618), Millersville (620) and Southern New Hampshire (622) rounded out the top-five.

Brant Kummerfeld shot a one under par round of 71 on the second day of action to collect his fourth tournament title of the year with a two-day score of 145, three strokes better then second. Joshua Hamlett and Matt Demeo also had strong second day's as Hamlett shot a two over par score of 72 to secure a fifth place overall finish (150) and Demeo posted a two under par round of 70 to pick up seventh overall (152).

Stuart Pulkinen and Oliver Hudesman rounded out Adelphi's top-five as Pulkinen placed 36th overall with a two day total of 160 and Hudesman finished 49th overall with a score of 164.

As a team Adelphi trailed Goldey-Beacom by one stroke, 315-316, after the first day of play. The Panthers shot a second day total of 291 to pick up the five stroke win, while Goldey-Beacom dropped to third with a second day score of 303.

Adelphi returns to action on April 5, when they travel to Riverhead, New York to take part in the Peter King Memorial Tournament at the Long Island National Golf Course.
