Adelphi has Seven Players Named All-Conference; Stackpole Earns All-Rookie Status

Six of Adelphi's seven selections were first-team honorees.

Garden City, N.Y. - The Northeast-10 announced its women's lacrosse all-conference awards on Thursday, April 30 and seven members of the Adelphi University women's lacrosse team were selected for inclusion. while Kaitlyn Stackpole earned All-Rookie status. Alexa Froccaro, Danielle Jaycox, Felicia Mills, Rachel O'Brien, Camille Rosellini and Ryley Weber were all given first-team laurels, while Jacqueline Jahelka was a second-team honoree.

Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-American Froccaro was a first-team honoree for the second straight season. She currently leads the Panthers in points with 79 on 57 goals and 22 assists and is third in the conference in goals, goals per game (3.25) and points per game (4.56).  She is also eighth in the Northeast-10 in both assists and assists per game (1.31), while posting the eighth most caused turnovers in the conference from her position at attack.

A second-team seletion a year ago, O'Brien has posted her third straight 70+ point season and is second on the team in points with 78 on 31 goals and a team-high 47 assists. She is second in the Northeast-10 in assists and assists per game (2.75) and ranks ninth and seventh nationally in those categories. She is also fourth in the conference in total points.

Jaycox and Mills earned inclusion on the first-team in the midfield for the second straight season. Jaycox is the Panthers fifth leading scorer with 45 points on 34 goals and 11 assists, and she also has 25 ground balls and 12 caused turnovers. Mills is the only player in the Northeast-10 to crack the 100 mark in draw controls, picking up 114, which puts her second in the country in draw controls per game at 6.44. She has also had an impact on the offensive end, scoring nine goals and handing out three assists this season.

The Adelphi defense was represented on the first-team by Rosellini and Weber. Rosellini, a second-team selection a year ago, is second on the team in ground balls with 35 and third in draws with 36, in addition she has caused 14 turnovers. Weber earned her first all-conference nod this season and is currently second in the Northeast-10 in caused turnovers at 32, seventh in draw controls with 65 and eighth in groundballs at 47. Collectively, Rosellini and Weber have anchored a defense that second in the nation and tops in the Northeast-10 in scoring defense, allowing just five goals per game.

Jahelka is the third member of the Panthers all-conference attack trio that have each scored over 70 points this year. An All-American and first-team selection a year ago, she is already ahead of her pace from last season with 76 points on 60 goals and 16 assists. Her 60 tallies is tops on the team and second in the Northeast-10 and 12th in the nation. In addition Jahelka is tops in the conference in goals per game at 3.63 strikes per contest. 

The Brown and Gold's only All-Rookie honoree, Stackpole is the only freshman starter on Adelphi's vaunted defense. She has helped the Panthers hold opponents to just five goals per game and cause a conference leading 11.94 turnovers per contest, while causing 19 turnovers on her own and grabbing 20 ground balls. 

Adelphi returns to the field on Saturday, May 2 when they participate in the Northeast-10 Championship semifinals against #4 Stonehill on Motamed Field at 11:00 am.
