Indianapolis, Ind. - A second straight Northeast-10 Conference Championship, an undefeated leage record, and a 21-match win streak as helped the Adelphi University volleyball team earn the top seed in the East Region of the NCAA Tournament, announced earlier tonight on NCAA.com.

By earning the top seed in the regional, the Brown and Gold are set to host the three-round, three-day event starting on Thursday, December 3. In the first round, the Panthers will face the CACC Champion and eighth seed Post with the winner set to face either LIU Post, the fourth seed, or NYIT, the fifth seed. Bridgeport, the ECC Champion, and New Haven face off in the second seed and seventh seed contest while the third seed Dowling and the sixth seed Franklin Pierce round out the bracket.

Eight eight-team regionals will be played at on-campus sites. Regional competition will be single-elimination, best three-of-five-set matches and will not include a third-place match. The winners of each of the eight regionals will advance to the finals, Dec. 10-12, at the Bob Martinez Athletics Center in Tampa, Florida. The University of Tampa and the Tampa Bay Sports Commission will serve as hosts. Competition at the finals site will be single-elimination; best three-of-five-set matches.
