Jackson Named NCAA Assists Per Game Champion

Adelphi junior tops nation with 7.3 assists per contest

Sade Jackson led the country with 7.3 assists per game this season.
Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University women's basketball junior Sade Jackson was named the 2013 NCAA Division II Statistical Champion for assists per game after leading the nation with 7.3 assists per contest this season. She is believed to be the first NCAA Statistical Champion in the 45-season history of Adelphi women's basketball.

Jackson stood alone atop the country by a full 1.2 assists per game, as the next closest player averaged 6.1 helpers. She also led the nation in total assists (203) and was the only player in DII to post multiple triple-doubles with three. A Northeast-10 All-Conference Third Team selection, Jackson also averaged 12.9 points and 6.1 rebounds per game and blocked a team-high 32 shots while leading the Panthers to their first NE-10 playoff victory.
