Garden City, N.Y. - Throughout this fall the Adelphi University Golf Team has been raising money with every birdie they make on the course, and a portion of the money raised will be donated to cancer research through a foundation known as Birdies for Breast Cancer. The donation will be made in the name of Ashiliann Mazieka, the sister of Adelphi golf standout and co-captain Frank Amizicia.

So far this fall the Panthers have produced over 60 birdies on the course and will continue to raise money and awareness through their final this weekend at the Port Jefferson Country Club. Adelphi will wearing pink in support of Frank's sister and as a tribute to all those affected by breast cancer.
