Garden City, N.Y. - The Adelphi University swim program was honored for the second week in a row as
Jalen Jennings (Tecumseh, MI) was named Diver of the Week
as announced by the conference office on Tuesday, December 11. This is the third time this season that the Panthers have been honored by the conference.
Jennings placed first in two rounds of diving off the one meter board last weekend at William Paterson in Wayne, New Jersey. His scores of 211.80 and 284.24 were combined in this format to meet the 11 dives required for the championship format on the 1 meter board, giving Jennings a total score of 496.04, easily surpassing the NCAA qualifying mark of 440 and mkaing Jennings the first Adelphi diver to qualify for NCAA action in over 30 years.
The Panthers return to action on Wednesday, December 12 when they travel to Flushing, New York for a tri-meet with Queens College and Baruch College at 6:00 pm.
