Manhasset, N.Y. - For the second year in a row the Adelphi University softball team volunteered their weekend to work alongside former Olympian, Jennie Finch, at Manhasset High School on October 13-14. Close to 300 kids gathered to receive skill instruction, which included outfield, infield, throwing, pitching and hitting.
Head Coach
Breanne Nasti was impressed with the weekend claiming, “Our team was awesome. So enthusiastic and positive – the hard work they put in reflected well on our program.”
Girls ranging in ages from 9 to 18 years old got to witness live hitting and pitching demonstrations from Finch and her staff. This was the second year in a row the Panthers were asked to participate and all enjoyed the experience of having the opportunity to interact with the former Olympians.
