Garden City, N.Y. - On Wednesday, September 21, the men's basketball team put on a clinic for 20 players of the Nassau County Special Needs PAL (Police Athletic League). Adelphi players demonstrated basic skills and fundamentals of the game such as dribbling, passing, shooting and defensive skills.
The evening began with an array of different skill stations where members of the men's basketball teams performed proper technical skills such as dribbling and passing. Additionally, they explained and showed proper form on shooting, taking layups as well as how to box out and rebound correctly.
Furthermore, the PAL players got to compete with the Panthers in a game of knockout. Concluding the night
Duane Morgan awed the kids with two highlight dunks to send them out on a positive note. All in all, the clinic proved to be yet another successful event and was enjoyed by both parties.
