Athletics Raising Money and Awareness of Breast Cancer in October

Athletics will be selling raffle tickets and merchandise to raise money for the New York Statewide Breast Cancer hotline.

All proceeds will be donated to the New York Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline.
The Adelphi University Athletic Department will be raising awareness of Breast Cancer for the fifth straight year this October with the Jennifer Montgomery Breast Cancer Awareness month event. Athletics will be selling raffle tickets, merchandise and use all of the October 15 athletic contests to raise awareness and all proceeds from the month long event will be donated to the New York Statewide Breast Cancer Hotline.

The softball team will host their "At Bat For a Cause" clinic on Sunday, October 2 from 9 am to 12 pm on Ficke Field, and Athletics will hold a Kick-Off event and walk beginning at 11:30 am on Wednesday, October 5 in the Center for Recreation and Sports. Saturday, October 15 will be "Think Pink" day, as all four Adelphi fall teams competing on campus will wear some form of pink to show their support and raffle tickets and merchandise will be sold all day!

In addition raffle tickets will be sold on Friday, October 7 and Monday October 31 from 10:30 am - 3: pm in the University Center, while the prize drawing will be held on Tuesday, November 1. Raffle tickets can also be purchased at the front desk of the Athletic Department in the Center for Recreation and Sport beginning on Monday, October 3 and a complete list of the raffle prizes will also be released on October 3.
