7th Annual Ficke Classic Raises $10,000 For Women's Athletics

On Monday, July 18, Adelphi University held its Seventh Annual Janet L. Ficke Golf Classic at Harbor Links Golf Course in Port Washington, N.Y. The outing brought over 100 participants and supporters who helped raise over $10,000 for Women's Athletics here at Adelphi.

The Golf Classic was established in 2005 to support women's athletics at Adelphi University and is open to all supporters of Adelphi Athletics. The lowest score was posted by the foursome of Jantzen Vargas, Michael Driscoll, Dennis Driscoll and Brian Rothschild who shot a 57 for the day.

The event was capped off with dinner, a silent auction, and announcements of raffle prize winners. This year was another huge success and we thank each of our donors and sponsors for their continuous support of Adelphi Athletics.

Save the date for next year's Eighth Annual Janet L. Ficke Golf classic which will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Harbor Links.
