The Adelphi University Department of Intercollegiate Athletics hosted its semi-annual Fall Kick-Off event on Wednesday, October 14, at the Chateau Briand in Carle Place, New York.

On hand to mingle with Adelphi supporters was legendary St. John's University Basketball Coach, Lou Carnesecca and WNBA President, Donna Orender.

Approximately 100 guests dined on heavy hors d'oeuvres, sipped wine and were entertained with the smooth sounds of Frank Sinatra performed by Johnny Avino.

Head Coach Dom Scala, the athletic department's development director, coordinated the event and was the night's MC. He introduced Carnessecca, while Head Women's Basketball Coach, Kelley Watts, introduced Orender.

The evening ended with a successful raffle which included a signed NY Yankees Derek Jeter jersey.
