Dec. 23, 2004 On Saturday evening, December 11, the Adelphi University Dance Team participated in the Move Against Aids Dance-A-Thon at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City. Over 3,000 participants helped raise nearly $750,000 and teams contributed more than $350,000 to that total. The Adelphi Dance Team personally raised $768 toward this effort. The proceeds from the five-hour Dance-a-thon will be donated to the Gay Men's Health Center, in the fight against AIDS.
