Garden City, N.Y. - Adelphi University juniors Corey McKee (Barrie, Canada) and Charlotte Davies (Sanibel, Florida) have been named Adelphi University Athletes of The Week for the week of 6, 2010.

McKee won all five individual events he competed in last week, helping the Panthers to a 2-1 record on the week. In a tri-meet against Queens and Baruch McKee won two of his signature events, taking the individual title in the 100 yard butterfly, 53.41 and the 100 yard backstroke, 55.82. At William Paterson McKee rounded out the men's event winners with victories in the 50 yard freestyle (22.65), 100 yard butterfly (53.14) and the 100 yard backstroke (54.72).

Davies was responsible for three of the women's five individual wins at William Paterson, taking home the crown in the 1000 yard freestyle (11:32.93), the 500 yard freestyle (5:42.71) and the 200 yard freestyle (2:09.65). She also led the way for the Adelphi women at the Queens and Baruch tri-match, with wins in both the 1000 yard and 500 yard freestyle swims with times of 11:31.91 and 5:48.37.

Swimming returns to the pool on January 11 when they travel to Kings Point, New York for a 6:00 pm meeting with the United States Merchant Marine Academy.
