Garden City, N.Y. - Senior Mike Mosby (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) and junior Gianna Smith (Hempstead, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of The Week for the week of December 18, 20006.

Mosby helped the Panthers to a 74-37 win over Mercy College, pulling down 13 rebounds and scoring 16 points to register his third double-double of the season. Mosby also added two assists and two blocks, while Adelphi evened their overall record at 3-3 and their ECC mark at 2-2.

The Panthers return to action on Thursday, December 21 when they travel to Worcester, Massachusetts for a 5:00 pm match-up.

Smith led the Panthers to a 61-49 victory over Mercy College with a game-high 19 points on 8-14 shooting. Smith also chipped in five rebounds, two steals, one assists and one block, helping the Panthers even their overall record at 4-4 and raise their ECC mark to 3-1.

Women's basketball returns to action on December 29 when they take on Bentley in San Diego, California.
