Garden City, N.Y. - Senior Mike Mosby (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) and junior Gianna Smith (Hempstead, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of the Week for the week of November 27, 2006.

In Adelphi's 75-60 win over Bloomfield on Tuesday, November 21 Mosby posted career-highs in both points and rebounds. He pulled down a game-high 17 rebounds and poured in 18 points to help the Panthers to their first win of the season. Mosby also added three assists and two blocks.

For his efforts Mosby was named ECC Player of the Week.

The Panthers will return to action on Wednesday, November 29 when they play host to ECC opponent NYIT at 7:30 pm.

Smith scored a career-high 28 points to lead Adelphi to a 78-76 non-conference win over Merrimack on November 21. Smith shot 9-16 from the field and 10-16 from the free throw in addition to pulling down five rebounds, making two steals and picking up one block.

The Panthers return to action on Wednesday, November 29 when they play host to NYIT at 5:30 pm.
