Garden City, N.Y. - Senior Tal Lahav (Moshav Haniel, Israel) and junior Jerri Lester (El Paso, Texas) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of The Week for the week of November 22, 2005.

Lahav, an accounting and economics major, boasts a 3.95 grade point average, was named a Second-Team ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America as selected by CoSIDA. He appeared in seven games, making six starts in 2005. Over the course of his four-year career at Adelphi Lahav has appeared in 46 games, making 45 starts.

In 2004, Lahav was a NSCAA/Adidas honorable mention all-east region scholar. He was also a CoSIDA Academic All-District second-team selection in 2003.

Lester placed in the top-10 in three events at last weekend's Rowan Cup, including picking up one first and one second place finish. Lester placed first in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.72, almost three seconds ahead of second place. She also took home second in the 200 yard freestyle, missing out on first by less then three tenths of a second.

The Panthers return to action on Tuesday, November 22 when they play host to Montclair State at 5:30 pm.
