Garden City, N.Y. - Graduate student Ryan Soltan (Sayville, N.Y.) and freshman Erin Klimkowski have been named Adelphi's Athletes of The Week for the week of November 8, 2005.

Soltan ran to his best finish at the NCAA Division II Northeast Regional last weekend. Soltan covered the 10 kilometer distance in 33:12, just two seconds off of his personal best, but finished 22nd overall, six places better then his previous best showing at regionals.

The Adelphi men's cross-country team closed out the season at the NCAA Northeast Regional, placing 13th overall.

Klimkowski was honored by the New York Collegiate Athletic Conference (NYCAC) this week as the conference Rookie of The Year. Klimkowski leads the Panthers this season in goals (13) and points (27). She is the first player since Brandy Page in 1998 to receive this award.

The Panthers return to action on Friday, November 11 when they travel to West Chester, Pennsylvania to take-on West Chester in the first-round of the NCAA Northeast Regional.
